Gocek is a township with own municipality depending Fethiye district center in Turkey's Mugla Province. It is one of the important
centers of tourism, especially of yacht tourism, in Turkey and is home to a large yacht marina. The town lies on the northern shore
of the Gulf of Fethiye, opposite the district center Fethiye, and at a distance of 22 km from the international Dalaman Airport.The
Gulf of Fethiye is thought by many sailors to be second only to the Indian Ocean in terms of the beautiful seascapes it offers.
Until a few years ago the only land based option for those wanting to enjoy this magical corner of the world was the characterful,
but hardly tranquil, town of Fethiye. However, in recent years a small amount of accommodation has become available in the pretty
village of Gocek. Set at the deepest point of the gulf of Fethiye, Gocek nestles at the foot of the pine clad mountains looking
out over the '12 islands' of the bay.
With a large natural harbour Gocek has grown up to cater to the needs of yachtmen. One of the pleasures of a visit here is a stroll
around the Marina to admire the array of boats of all shapes and sizes moored here. The waterfront is lined with bars and restaurants.
Inland life revolves around the pretty market square which is lined with little shops selling antiques and crafts as well as the more
usual carpets. Ideal for a leisurely holiday by the sea, Gocek is situated at the head of the bay in the Gulf of Fethiye in the

there are only a handful of small hotels and pensions, yet all along the wide, landscaped promenade that fringes the quayside, there
are plenty of eateries, from simple cafes to excellent restaurants specializing in delicious fresh fish. In the back streets and around the old village square by the mosque, there is a surprising array of interesting craft shops.
From the harbor you can take boat trips around the Twelve Islands and a boat is also the natural choice of transport to reach Gocek's
beaches, the nearest of which lies just a little further around the bay. An enjoyable, 20-minute trip - which is provided daily free

Gocek which recently became the meeting point of yachtsmen and lovers of the sea, has attained a justified fame with its natural
position. The coves where colorful yachts ranging from the latest models to small vessels meet, can be visited in all seasons. In
addition to being an ideal place from the standpoint of wind, sea and air temperature, it is only 22 km from the Dalaman Airport with
international standards. Also the yacht marina built in recent years and improved rapidly has placed Gocek into a privileged state.
Any plane that you board, for example, in Istanbul, Ankara and even some places abroad would relieve you from the problems of world
and take to the blue-green paradise of Gocek.
Besides all of these, Gocek is, at the furthest north end of Fethiye bay, and is in a location very close to both the islands and to

Gocek which was a small village until very recently has now became a municipality within a very short period of time with the yacht
