In the beautiful countryside between two small mountains and several lakes
is situated the small village Granitovo, just 120 km away from the beach
and the Bourgas International Airport (1,5 hour drive), and about 200 km
away from the famous winter resort Pamporovo.
This village is located 25 km from the border with Turkey.
The Bulgarian Government is currently investing huge amounts of money in
infrastructure and modernisation and it is expected that within a years
time a Customs-house and first class road to Istanbul and the Turkish Sea
coast will be built in the area.
There are around 2000 inhabitants in the village. There are shops, bar,
cable TV, mains water supply, telephone lines, etc. The surrounding nature
is beautiful: few natural lakes, a river, forests, hills. Regular bus services
are running to Bourgas,
Elhovo and Yambol.
